Cerakote OR Duracoat?

What's the difference between these two? What should I try? I've heard good things from both, but not sure if they're trustworthy. Any recommendation for a shop in either the Inland Empire or San Diego County preferably. If not, OC is fine too. No, I don't feel comfortable shipping my firearms across the country. I prefer to do business face to face only.

I want to do either a cerakote/duracoat on some of my guns. I like to turn my AK pistol (drosing) and AK rifle into this

I've seen Duracoat being done on Youtube. It looks quite easy, but the trick is that the guy showing only did the stock which is the easy part. Wonder how the rest of the gun went. If it were just the stock, anyone can do. However, I think I'm gonna do cerakote.

How long was the turn around time for you? I've heard sometimes between 2-4 weeks. BTW, you mind showing off some of your guns?

Cerakote H is the best. Spray on of either I've heard doesn't last very long.

But when baked on is when it shines. I haven't used either but from various friends and online tests I've seen baked on H cerakote is pretty hard to beat.

I believe the H stands for baked and hardened. That's usually what the companies offer for a service and why it costs $150+.

Spray on kits are only like $60, again not as durable.

This guy Anthony did mine in SD. Did it the same day - pistol frame. Very affordable. Many guys here have used him.
