Sigh. I can understand being mad at Bill Clinton, but S&W makes outstanding firearms today (yes even with the "lock"), and they did what was pragmatically necessary to stay behind the firing line in Washington.

I would rather that have done whatever they felt was necessary -- and not remained a political target --- than have them fall on their sword for us. I like their firearms a lot and I think it's a good thing that hundreds of thousands of them continue to ship/sell each year.
