    Springfield Pro

I have a friend who wants to sell his Springfield Pro to me and I am having trouble finding price/value anywhere online. It has less than 500rds and has a Nowlin barrel. I would rate at 90 to 95%. Does anyone have any information that would lead me to a fair price? Thank you.

Post pictures of it, need to see exact condition of it. Some people are willing to pay a little more for a Nowlin Barrel Pro with square dust cover if it's in excellent condition. If it has a lot of wear like muzzle end, idiot scratch, barrel hood, not going to get as much for it. I'm going to estimate around $2800 for it being on 90-95% condition, course some people will disagree with this. It's worth whatever you are willing to pay for it.

^^ Where did you read the the gun only had 2 outings? But ya, 90-95% after 500 rounds? Does not add up.

Also, its a Springfield Professional, so unless I'm mistaken, its a custom shop gun built to order. So without knowing what specs were ordered, its impossible to estimate a value.

I would say anywhere from 2.5k to 4k.

OP, get some pictures and some specs on the gun.

The Pro, and Railed Pro, are stock models produced by the custom shop. I am assuming this is what he needs.

They go for about 2800-3000 brand new but there is a 2 year wait right now. A lot of people are willing to pay more to get them right away

You are right that they are custom shop guns, however they only come in 2 configurations (light rail or non light rail). Specs on the Professional model cannot be changed in any way before leaving the custom shop for the first time. If you ask the Springfield Custom Shop to deviate from the original FBI spec, it will no longer be considered a Professional and will not have the CRG serial number designating it as such. The only changes that could be made would be after the fact.

Damn, the pro is very expensive for them still having MIM parts.

Thanks Mike and pipboy for the education on the Professional models.

Seems that the OP should have what he needs to decide on the deal with his buddy.

I think there is only 3 MIM parts and all 3 are not high stress areas. I'm sure they have high round count stress test for these 1911. It's used by HRT....the best the FBI has to offer.

$2500 is a good to great deal......$3000 is top dollar. Just saw a VERY nice railed example go on gunbroker for $2750 about a week ago.

I've sold 3 pros in the past for $3k each. All of them were 99% condition.

Why'd you end up with 3 and selling them all?
