BPH CONTEST: answer the question, win a free trip.

Here's one for the Browning High Power Know-it-all Superior Folks.

"Will a BHP 10mm mag work in a 9mm frame?" How many rounds will it hold?

Where do you want to go trip?

is this some kind of trick question? i dont think a true 10mm BHP ever existed...unless you're referring to 40s&w as 10mm kurtz(kurz?)

Can a BHP handle 10mm without frame/slide cracks?

Not "only" - you forgot at least another one - it was also made in .30 Luger.

            Ain't no 10MM Hi-Powers
            9 and .40
I tried stuffing 9's in my .40 mag but they fell out
It worked with Ruger .40 mags however. (P-85 IIRC)

The Bren Ten is basically a beefed-up CZ 75 frame, which in turn was derived from the BHP. So... maybe?

Someone said you could use a (40?) different mag in a 9mm. Will hold 12.

Of course, we here on CGN adhere to the 10 round limit.

My CZ 75 mags will take both 9 and 40.
                  So maybe?

AFAIK, No maybe about it. Browning ONLY made the P-35 High Power in .30 luger, 9mm and .40 S&W.

I'm going to be pedantic and say there was never a BHP 10mm mag made.

                        wouldn't that make a BHP 10mm a "ghost" gun?

If you made the 10mm cartridge overall length the same as the 40S&W overall length (1.135"), and you had a 40S&W barrel bored 0.150" deeper to accept the 10mm brass length, you could fit the same number of 10mm rounds in a magazine as 40S&W, and that magazine would fit in a 9mm frame.

With a name like WickedPete, maybe the OP took one of those surplus 9mm Hi Powers recently available and converted it to 10mm. That would be really neat, if he did that. I mean the gun, not the OP.
