7.5 or 10 inch?

SSe is coming to an end, and I'm in a rush to get several of my guns in order. One of which is the POF AR pistol. I'm a bit undecided as to which barrel is best. From what I've seen on Youtube is that the 7.5 is nasty with the recoil whereas the 10-inch is a lot better. What do you guys think? I have until the end of the month to get 1. Right now I'm leaning toward the 10-inch, but 7.5 also looks pretty cool too.

Don't own one, but going off of what you stated I'd go with the 10 in. 10 in also looks better IMHO...

Go with the 10.5, if you have any plans on using for self defense, 10.3's are used by the military...

I haven't shot a 7.5 one but the 11" one I have shoots great. My second one is almost done with a 11" upper also..

With a fake can attached - An 11" upper is rifle length.

10" for better ballistics. But are you really looking to shoot at targets 100 & 200 yards out with the pistol? A 7.5" is great at 75 yards and closer from my shooting experience, and I'm no operator but just your average guy. You need to decide what your ultimate goal & usage will be for this.

Me personally, I like using a 7.5" upper with a flash can to project the blast forward and out of my space. Otherwise with your nose to the CH, you can get quite a bit concussion and blast to your face on the shorter gas system. But at the same time, my AR pistol wasn't built for long range, but for fun range use, maybe HD but not my first choice, and built for SHTF since it's small & compact.... which I still wouldn't be looking at long ranges, that's what my rifle is for.


But really, get either one since you can swap between all that you like on your registered pistol lower. As long as you get that (the entire AR pistol SSE'd before Jan 1), then you're in good shape to use whatever setup.

No. Whether I'm getting the 7.5 or 10, my primary targets are <100 yards. Beyond that, I have other rifles.

That's the main concerns I have for the 7.5" because my wife or my younger sister may want to shoot it too. And if it has a huge flash plus a nasty recoil, chances are they won't be touching it anytime soon.

Yeah...I'd probably get a 300blk upper once the price of its ammo start to come down.

If your buying it too look at it, get the 7.5'' barrel, if your going to shoot it, get the 10'' barrel, and really enjoy it.

7.5". 10 or 11, just build a 14.5" rifle.

I used a Troy Claymore compensator. It works great directing blast and fire forward away from the shooter. It's not heavy and won't pull down on the muzzle. An adjustable gas block will be needed to tune it. Add a 4.2 oz tungstun powder Spikes buffer and it shoots very soft.

Wifey loves to shoot it with a .22LR bolt fitted. Do that for the feminine crowd. Load up 25.5 gn Varget 62 grain for real blasting fun. These outshoot any of my other handguns/pistols.

I have both. They are the same recoil and muzzle flip wise. The 10" has more range but it's bigger than you might think.

I honestly think the NFA pistol is WAY superior to any other ar pistol, and it's like $475.00.

The muzzle brake on their pistol is beyond incredible. The gun is LOUD, but recoil and muzzle flip is similar to a ruger mk2 22 lr. Yes, it's not an exaggeration. The pistol is that mild. I'd sell my standard ar pistols but they are 80% lowers so that's not going to happen. I know it can be done but the liability issues are pretty severe if they were used in a subsequent crime or accident.

7.5" and shoot from the hip LOL.

10.5" if you care about ballistics and want to you use for defensive purposes.
