Colt has made 1911s since, well, 1911. Some are very desirable, others not so much. Year, model, condition, caliber, round count, and many other factors come in to play. Maybe post some pics? Maybe look in the for sale section and see what others are selling for?Comment

OP, please tell us more details.
As a rule of thumb, customizations won't normally add value to (and can even lower the value of) the gun if they were not done by a famous custom shop. Most people would want to customize the handgun to their liking.
Also, Series 70 Colts will normally command more than a Series 80 counterpart for the most part.
Post pics, too, when possible.
