Does anyone know if this pistol is SSE-able in CA? My concern is the threaded barrel. So wondering if the FFL will swap the barrel with a non-threaded one I provide them with one at time of DROS.

That being said, wondering if you know of an FFL that can accommodate that request.

You could always get the non tactical version which doesn't have the threaded barrel.

If you wanted the tactical version with the threaded barrel and Red dot capable then you would probably need to send out the non threaded barrel to the seller to install and then have him mail you the thread barrel.

Then you would just need an FFL that can SSE the FNX... provide your location and some people can probably chime in on FFLs.

I ship them into CA all the time. I usually remove the barrel from the gun so it is no longer an AW and the CA FFL either removes the threads or the buyer brings in a non threaded barrel.

I got mine from baboosh. To make it Cali legal really takes some of the features away. Threaded barrel gets de threaded and the 15 round mags get cut to 10.

But other than that it's optics ready, comes w 3 mags and a cool case.

I just put an FN FNX45 on lay-away at Solar Tactical in Livermore CA.

They have a stainless non-threaded barrel that comes with the gun. I have no idea where the threaded barrel went, I'm pretty sure it doesn't come with the gun. Maybe just as well.

The gun comes with a nice case and a couple of magazines pinned to 10 round capacity. The case has a large pocket for a suppressor, which in my case holds the obligatory (in Livermore) safety lock. Seems a particularly sad commentary to me, safety lock in the suppressor pocket.

I'm picking up a Colt Delta Elite in 10ish days, then the FN. When I was last there (8 August) they had around 7 FN FNX45s left.

I picked mine up from a guy in AZ, he shipped the barrel to my office, the gun went to Parallax in San Diego. I have since had the threads taken off with a lathe, the neutered gun shoots great.

Get your non tactical version, I had one, ended up selling it to fund the hk45. Otherwise go with audiophil2, great seller
