G21/G21sf and buy a 10mm conversion drop in barrel in the future if you wish to go that route. Or if you wish to stick with 9mm since you'll have many many rounds readily available, a G17. OR give that coupon to me and stick with your G19 for HD

lol @ glocktalk. Availability of a conversion barrel was actually my next question. Which glock would be better for conversion?

All these .45 guys in this thread... yeesh!

You need a fo-tay in yo collection, son!

I say G22 since you don't seem to have a standard "full size" Glock in there yet.

G26 for a summer carry gun? Recently picked one up with my coupon. Really like it. It serves it's niche really well.

I take it that the consensus is that the Glock 31 is off the table.

                      I have a LC9 for that.

G29SF (10mm) with Pearce +0 mag extensions. The 19, 34, and 29SF are my favorites.

OK. It's not a Glock. If my rear is on the line I trust the Glock over a Ruger. But that's just me. My father feels the exact opposite way as he loves Ruger (seems like we find reasons to disagree just to have something to talk about). Plus when/if you get a permit you can list 3 different gun makes/models on it.

But I understand. You have that niche filled for now and want something different. I tend to be the same way when it comes to filling out my collection.

In your shoes I am not sure what I would do. The two Glocks in my stable make me pretty happy. I have a G26 and a G17. My G17 is an older model so I might just do a Gen3 17. Or I might go up in size and get a Gen3 34 or a Gen3 17L if I can find somebody who has them blue labelled. Never had a long slide one and it might make a nice base for a competition gun. I've owned a 19, and while I liked it I'd rather run the 26 and 17 depending on what I am doing with it, so I doubt I would use it much. The other Glock I have been interested in is the Glock 36 to get the thin frame. Again, I have "carry" on the brain. And a thin grip is a plus for me.

What should you do? There are a lot of things that will apply only to you that get taken into consideration. So its tough to offer suggestions.

So which size frame do you prefer? What caliber do you prefer? If you already have one that checks both boxes, go the next size up or down on one and make sure one box is checked.
I should have gotten the g26 just because my g19 and g34 mags could work with it. Oh well.

The original intention was to stick with 9mm so that my wife could fire any of the guns without hesitation and there would be no confusion as to what rounds fit in which gun. This idea is still in the back of my mind.

I've always liked the 45 (i first learned to shoot on my dad's 1911 in Texas), so I'm definitely leaning towards that. I've never fired a 10mm or 357sig but they both seem to have a devoted following. My goals for this gun would be a dedicated home defense nightstand gun. Because i'm/we're limited to 10 rounds, I'm looking for the most bang for my buck (sorry... bad pun).
