PAP M92 or Extar 556?

I'm looking at one of these for my last SSE of the year. I don't want a buffer tube AR pistol nor do I want to use the Sig brace as the whole point is to get the small pistol type form factor. Vids from youtube look like both are easy to shoot without the need to brace it against the body. While I already have an AR the extar is more of a proprietary design so not much is gained except for being able to use mags. It's poly design makes me question durability too. These are likely novelty guns but they are both pretty cheap so I figure to get one while I can.

My other choice is to get a PTR instead since I want a cheap 308 battle rifle but with ammo costs I might not shoot it often. So what would you recommend?

I have an Extar and love it. It is very easy to shoot with its aggressive muzzle brake. It can be shot easily with one hand, easier than any AK pistol I have ever shot. Granted the Extar is new and I, too, was concerned about a polymer frame, but I have been hard pressed to find any information on people having problems.

Get a PAP M92. It's rugged and a fun gun.

Mostly for the novelty of having one. Its use will most likely be confined to range toy as I doubt either are suitable for hunting. Then again the PTR probably isn't very ideal for hunting either. If I detest the gun then I might sell it later on but for $500-600 it can probably sit in the safe. HD option is intriguing though probably not prudent but might be a back up option. And even in a SHTF situation I'm not too sure what advantage these would have over their rifle counterparts.

People at my local range use the sig brace all the time. No biggie

Extar for the mags

You can use 80% lower either poly or metal on Extar. So even if lower breaks you can have a replacement. If upper breaks maybe you can buy new one from Extar.

Maybe buy two Extar and dual wield.
