    Need Magazines Blocked

    Hi,

Unfortunately, I have a pistol where the manufacturer does not make a CA compliant 10 round magazine. After last year, I can't get a parts kit, I was wondering if there is any out of state or in state FFLs that would block high cap magazines (per California law) and ship it to me in California. I live in Los Angeles if that helps. Thanks.

You guys might want to reach out to Ryan at Table Rock Arms in Oregon and see if he could acquire and block the mags for you guys. Can't hurt to ask.

Alternatively instead of blocking the mags before shipping to California you can find an California FFL that will block the magazines once they receive it.

          ^This

You could even take it one step further and order the blocks and take them in with you when you DROS, so the FFL can block them when he has time and doesn't have to scramble to find the appropriate block. Magazineblocks.com has quite a few options and I hhave have foud them quite helpful when I had a few questions, thee is also a claguns discount code floating around as well.

This is the best solution I have found.

this is assuming there are blocks made for your magazine. Im looking at the sar k2 and I believe it only has 14 round mags and I havent been able to mind any blocking kits

Give the folks at magazineblocks a call. My pop was trying to find blocks for a 15rd Sig P320/250 mag, but all they had listed was for 17 rounders. He called to see if the guy knew the dimensional difference so that he could modify them himself, and the guy suggested that a completely different mag block would work better with less modification. The guy said he would make the mods for him and ship them out, no extra charge. You might get lucky and have an option that does not require much work.

I was intending to do that actually. Just haven't gotten around to it because of work. Good to know they are willing to work with me if possible. Thanks for giving me hope.

Tracy rifle and pistol will order and block mags for you. They don't charge to block as long as you buy the mags from them.

I know mount pleasant arms offers it if you buy a gun from him but i don't know if he'll do just mags shipped to him. Peter is really cool though it can't hurt to email him and ask.

What is the deal with hi caps you had before yr 2000? Can we use them in our Glocks?

Yes, of course. Many of us use preban magazines.

Try Addax Tactical in San Fernando. They have a HiCap license and told me they could do blocks on a handgun I am thinking of buying that would need an SSE.
