    EAA witness elite match?

Anybody have one? Planning to buy one when I get back from vacation, just wanted to hear some thoughts.

    Owner here.

Go get one! Yep, it's that good.

One of my finest handguns so far. The action is smooth, the SAO trigger is fantastic.

One drawback is the limited amount of aftermarket parts for modifications, if wanted.

That's the plan! What caliber do you have it in? I was searching for a cz75b sao, but gave up on that, then read about the elite match and I think it will fit the bill.

I have the EAA Witness Elite Limited 9mm. It's a beautiful gun and very accurate. Did lots of research on them before buying one and found lots of great reviews. There were some issues with the EAA Witness Wonder finish models 7 or 8 years back but no issues with the current models. There's several of us Witness Elite owners on Cal Guns.

I put some aftermarket Henning parts on mine including the Professional Flat Trigger System. Actually need to take some current pictures with the latest mods. Check out henningshootsguns.com for aftermarket parts and brianenos.com for a great forum full of information on this platform.

          I have it in 9mm.

I also have a CZ 75B SA, but in .40 S&W, that I sometimes use my SP-01 in 9mm slide on to shoot in 9mm and it cannot compete with the Witness Elite Match. And both are stock - no mods. There is simply no comparison based on my experience between the two.

The stock EAA Witness Elite Match will trump the CZ 75B SA any day.

Sorry CZ fans (and I am one of them), but that's just the truth...

I wanted one in 10mm but slide cracking issues and their poor CS dissuaded me.

Really? Your discouraged because a 10mm model that had issues due to a problematic metal heat treating process on a particular "wonder finish" offering from 7 or 8 years ago?

There are zero issues with the current offerings of the Witness models. And the customer service complaints are also from 7 or 8 years ago when they had the wonder finish problems. Not saying the customer service is great, reality is that I have not needed to call them.

I a regular Witness in 45acp and its a really good pistol. Smooth trigger, and with a 4.5 inch barrel, it is really accurate and has very low recoil because it is on the heavy side with its all steel frame. But, I think that is one of the better features!

I almost sold mine, but then said, no way! I might, however, trade it for a 357.

I have the Elite Match in .45ACP. I also picked up the large frame .22 conversion kit for it for 1/3 of what the Kadet Kit costs for the CZ.

I owned a EAA Witness a long time ago, I bought it after my first trip to the middle east, Saudi Arabia to be exact back in 1999. I sold it to a buddy when I was leaving Ft. Bragg in 2005 and I regret selling that pistol. It was a 9mm standard all steel gun and I have no clue what the round count was, I shot 1000rds a week between it and my Kimber classic custom at that time so, do the math. My guess is the gun had 20-30k rounds fired. I do not recall any malfunction ever. It ran like a top, it shot whatever my broke butt could afford to buy or reload.....lots of lead reloads went through it because I could get a 500 rd lead bullet pack at Cumberland pawn for 18 a box of 500..and win 231 powder. It was accurate, reliable, and i loved it.

EAA Witness is SA/DA like the CZ 75B. The Elite Match is SAO. I guess a close CZ comparison would be the Tactical Sports model.

I have shot the Tactical Sports and the trigger is phenomenal. But quite honestly, I will pick the Elite Match over that, too.

Yes, they should be able to.
