I thought these features were illegal...

I have been way out of the loop for a while.

    No, I didn't do a search, and I don't feel like it.

It was my "understanding" that as of this year, new handguns in CA had to have stuff like:

    Mag disconnect
    LCI
    Manual Safety
    Maybe something else

I just bought a PM9 which fortunately has none of those. Was I dreaming up all that crap?

    Thanks.

Those are some of the features guns need to have to be added to the roster (Which now includes microstamping as well).

Having those features certainly does not make them illegal, nor does not having them make the gun illegal.

        lol yep

the funniest part, is that CA makes this big fuss about the features and puts manufactures through all the BS, just like they do with the motorcycle market (w/ restrictive exhaust & restrictive jetting/fuel mapping), when a large portion of buyers just replace the silly CA parts with the correct parts before even using it

Yeah, thats why I like Karh pistols and revolvers. Also, glock does not have a lot of that crap. Just stay clear of the g19. However, I was lucky and mine feeds everything fine.

yeah buying an off roster pistol without CA safety crap is fine through SSE while you can or used through private party transfer

there are models still on the roster without all that stuff

and a lot of pistols on the roster with all that stuff can have the CA safety parts easily and legally exchanged for parts that eliminate unwanted safety features like the mag disco

So long as the manufacturer pays the $200 annual baksheesh, a gun on the Roster stays on the Roster the way it was submitted, and FFLs may stock them and sell them to 'just anybody'.

Until they expire from the roster and is not renewed by the manufacturer (with their black mail payment to the state).

If it was on the roster when you bought it, which obviously it was, then yes.

Cheaper to pay the blackmail than to recertify with all the new wonderful requirements.

There isn't a problem with the G19 itself

Its the 10rnd mags that's the problem
