Sorry for resurrecting an old thread. My wife and I have been having this problem of the slide not locking open after the last round. Noticed that my thumb touches the slide release/lock when holding the shield the same way I hold my FS M&P. I practiced racking the slide with and empty mag while my trigger hand was in shooting position and the slide won't lock because as I suspected, my thumb is holding the slide release/lock down. Guess I/we'll have to modify our grip slightly.

I use the "sig" grip for the shield. strong thumb on top of lowest knuckle of support thumb.
      Have a good day!

Yeah, I was talking to my wife about our grip and that's what we desided we would change our grip to, on all of our pistols. We are looking for consistency, regardless of which pistol we are shooting.

I use Slip 2000 EWL grease on my shield rails and slide. Never had a problem, not a single one.

That stuff seems to fix any issues with my guns.
