cz experts, I need some help!!!

Hey guys i picked up my sp01 last night. I have to say it is such a nice pistol. It just feels so right in my hand lol. Question though, theres a target in there that show point of aim and point of impact. The shoots look high left and middle left from point of aim. Dose this mean the sights arent aligned correctly? I ask because i have never had anything like this in my previous handgun purchases.

    Thanks guys

Have you shot it yet? If not you should do that before anything. Also you can usually see if the sights are cocked. You can also measure with a calipers as well check to see if everything is equidistant.

I cannot really answer your question. As suggested, you may need to measure the sights.

Fwiw, my SP01's test target looked similar but it did not faze me. I shot it and it was pretty darn accurate. I know, apples to oranges, but my target groupings were way better than the test target's so I have no worries. I am thinking that your experience will be similar.

Now, if I got a Shadow Target and the test target was the same, then we have a problem

      Enjoy!

It will shoot fine. Go to the range and shoot it.

Okay guys, i just wanted to make sure. It was at 25m. I have seen a lot of targets for czs that show the same thing. I will shoot it probably next weekend if possible.

I use the combat sight picture where the front sight covers the piont of aim or bullseye. CZs are usually very accurate from the factory. Bench shoot it from sand bags to test for accuracy usually a 3-5 shot group. Post pics of your target after you go to the range. Congrats on your SP-01.

Shoot it and don't worry about the test target

Lol thanx guys. CAGLS thank you, i will try that to see where we are at. I shot all my guns that way where front sight covers the bullseye or whatever im shooting at. Isnt that the appropriate way to shot or am i mis informed?

Be aware that CZ uses 124gr for 9mm testing. If you're shooting 115gr and shooting low, then that's expected.

Different pistols require different holds, throw in different bullet weights and distance, which requires adjusting as well. From my experience, both of my CZs need the center hold (the one you're describing) at 10 yards.

How come a 115g will shoot low if the gun was tested with 124g. I mean is there that much of a difference at say 10 yards. I would think bullet drop would be non existent at short distances.

It likely has to do with how to rifling interacts with a 115g -vs- a 124g projectile.

Mine shoots 115g bullets to point of aim at 7 yards if i am doing my part. I will be testing 124g soon.

Grats on the new pistol man, i very much enjoy mine too. Now all you have to do is decide witch CZ you are going to buy next

Thank you. Lol i want a p01, p07, and p09. Maybe a 85 combat. I already have the 97b. Funds are always the limiting factor lol. I will test both types of bullets to see. Its crazy to thin that different weights can change where the impacts are.
