That's cheap. I had a 5906 almost 20 years ago that I got rid of. Still have it's big brother (4506). They are both good guns.

I had a 659 and a 5906. Both is acceptable But I prefer the Browning High Power.

I've never heard of anyone doing SSE on 3rd gen S&W autos. Damn this state.

One of the main appeal of those was that police trade ins were cheap and in great condition. Still a decent buy, but with all the CA consumer-rape fees/taxes tacked on after transfer (assuming you could SSE), the final pricepoint isn't quite as appealing as it used to be.

But if you have friends in free states, it's a great buy.
