Hello guys. As some of you know I recently bought an XDM 9 - 3.8. It only comes with two mags. They are standard capacity mags that the gun shop pinned to only accept 10 rounds. I need an extra mag or two but the problem is that my gun store says they cant get more mags in for a while. I've searched everywhere and can't find mags for this gun! Anyone know where I can find some? I have 3.8 full size. Thanks! !

XDM 9 - 10 Round mags

I don't believe 10 Round magazines have ever been produced for the XDM. What you can do is have standard capacity magazines shipped to your gun shop and have them block them for you (they'll probably charge you something). Not all shops are able to do this of course, and you might have to supply the blocks in advance.Comment

Brownell's has some 10+ rounders in stock for all the good it will do.
I recall reading about some FFLs will accept high caps mags sent directly to them (out of CA), pin/block them and reship to you for a nominal charge. I thought there was one in Oregon. My Marketplace Feedback: https://www.calguns.net/forum/market...k#post54003245Comment

Like some others have mentioned, I don't believe there are 10 round XDm mags. Since it's not on the roster and can't be sold in california, Springfield is probably thinking why bother with producing 10 round mags?
Also, I think a ffl needs a special permit to receive standard capacity mags? Not sure but that's what I hearComment

EBR sells kits so they might also sell blocked mags http://www.ebrwebstore.com/springfie...-kit-two-pack/sigpicComment

True and I don't see them coming anytime soon.I don't believe 10 Round magazines have ever been produced for the XDM
True. Some Ca FFL's do have a "High Cap Permit" it's is separate from their FFL license. This allows them to accept hi cap mags and distribute to LE or block the mags and give them to regular folks. Unless you have a very good relationship with an FFL who has a hi cap permit they might not want to receive mags and block them and sell them to you. It's not really what they do. They sell guns and transfers and DROS but as someone mentioned there's probably someone out there doing it.I think a ffl needs a special permit to receive standard capacity mags? Not sure but that's what I hear
Your best bet is check with the guys who sold you the gun and blocked the mags in the first place. If the gun was shipped to them this year then they have the hi cap permit. They are more likely to do this for an existing customer. I know they don't have them in stock but they can buy some retail priced from Impact Guns ($25), block them, mark them up a few bucks and have a happy customer. Ask nicely, tell them you have no other options, and this is the type of service that will force you to buy your next 3 guns from them. They are your best option IMHO."Sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here"Comment

Springfield does not make anything less than 19rnd mags for their xdm line pistols. I've had mine for 2 years now and have exhausted that avenue.
That being said I bought some 10rnd limiters from www.magazineblocks.com and had them permanently fixed to the mags last year. Now, given the recent law I'm not sure how you wanna get those mags fixed to 10 rnds but that's the way I did it when it was legal to but then again I'm not sure what laws are in place now so ill just continue to sell all my firearms :-)SO MANY GUNS....never enough money

The FFL and I have a very good relationship. He got the XDM with the high cap mags and pinned it himself. When I asked him if I could buy a spare he said he didn't have any more but he never mentioned about ordering them. When I go pick up the gun again I will ask him to please order some. He did have them for the XDM 45 though.Living in the free State of NevadaComment
