Sig 229.. help me decide

No difference in my opinion between the German and American made frames. Both are made on the same equipment, programmed with the same values and using the same materials.I would go with the one with the better trigger pull and less mechanical wear.I have the option of buying one of two 229s…
Both are used, 40sw, and DAO (DAK?)
My question is if there is a difference between US and German made frames?
The US is in near new condition, the German has some holster wear. The biggest difference is the trigger pull, the German has a lighter smoother.
Any info on production times, internals, value, etc.
Thanks
Here is a great guide posted on SiGTalk.com on how to evaluate the wear and tear on a used Sig:

Just a heads up but DAO and DAK are not the same thing. DAO is a double action only trigger system and DAK is a sort of a Glock-like short trigger reset system. Sorry for the poor explanation lol.Comment

I know there different, I shot a DAK 229 years ago and haven't had much experience with Sig DAO pistols. From handling the guns I'm pretty sure there DAO but I can't remember how far the hammer holds back on the DAK models.Comment

Sorry man but as a former owner of a DAK Sig you couldn't be more wrong. The DAK is a crazy long revolver like trigger. there are 2 resets to the trigger the first is about halfway through take up and it's much heavier than the initial pull but if you continue to let the trigger reset all the way then you get the long smooth DAK trigger again.Comment

I would go with the German one due to the better trigger. The newer U.S. made one might look nicer, but the German ones are no longer made so it might make a good investment, too.Comment
