    Saiga 12 pistol??

Would it be possible to get a short barreled saiga12 in pistol? Similar to how you can get an AK or AR pistol?

A few years ago I remember a thread on getting Saiga 12 AOW's, from a company selling them (used receivers that never were longguns). Would have to go through all the ATF BS, and since SSE is going away there probably isn't time to get one even if one was available today before the end of the year.

this. there are CA-legal "Saiga 12 pistols" in CA. they are legally registered with ATF as AOWs and are exempt from CA's SBS law. they weren't cheap, on the order of $2k or so, and if you don't have one now, there won't be enough time to get one transfered to you as an SSE by the end of the year. Form 4 transfers are on the order of 9 months, plus it would take ~3 months just to get it transferred to your local NFA dealer.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

However, if the manufacturer made it as a single shot from the get go and it has never been a semi auto, it could still be transferred after the first of the year.

A few months back I saw a company offering something similar to a saiga 12 in the sales section. Don't know how they would transfer it though since it is a sbs.

it wasn't an federally-defined SBS, it was an AOW, and as such, when legally registered, is exempt from CA's SBS law.

Several years back, OC Armory was selling CA legal Cadiz Gun Works Saiga-12 AOW.

I believe Cadiz Gun Works no longer makes them.

Bravo 18 in Utah still makes Saiga-12 AOWs for around $2000.

If you're willing to pay there's a way.
