    9+1 for Glock 42?

Glockstore forum says between the Galloway Precision Mag Extension and Magguts spring kit you can go 9 in the magazine.

Anyone try such a combo? Yes, it is one expensive setup.

What if they cut the BS and go directly to a G26 or a G19?

      Jeeze Gott,
Didn't your parents ever teach you, "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all"?

Glockstore probably saw my post I made on GlockTalk a month or so ago and are telling their customers this when I showed pics of my setup. I ran through the mag a few times before I sold the gun, but it fed flawless.

        Here was my 9+1 (10rd) G42

Sorry. I'm just seeing these threads pop up of people trying to redesign and justify the G42 lacking capacity. It's painful to read.

          I'll lay off the G42.

Having messed with this stuff more than most of us, do you know why the body can't hold 9 or at least more than 6 without the extensive work? It LOOKS like there is space in the body.

You can easily fit 7 rounds into the stock body, but that's it. And that's using the MagGuts spring kit with very little space left in there.

The Galloway mag extension (which I still have if anyone wants it, since I don't have a G42 anymore), has enough room for at least 2 rounds, even though it's considered a +1 mag extension. With the MagGuts spring kit and the Galloway extension, I was able to comfortably fit 9 rounds into the mag with room to spare where you can push down on the rounds inside the mag. A 10th round would not fit in there, and forcing it would have yielded bad results with feeding and reliability.

I find it funny that Glockstore is recommending people to go with this setup when they sell their own +1 billet mag extension. I considered getting that originally, but heard you needed to modify the factory magazine in order to make their extensions fit. The Galloway piece snaps right on and fits the mag well, but feels weird in the hand.... at least for me.

I upgraded two of my mags to the MagGuts for the Glock 42. I did indeed get 7+1. Took it to the range and had zero issues putting 150 rounds down range.
