    Smith&Wesson PC1911 range report (from a 1911 noob)

    Hello Calguns,

Just wanted to share the fun I had with my new S&W PC1911, first time in outdoors. All 10 yds shots, and last pic head shot was rapid fired 8 shot. I don't know where the other 6 rds went. I tried 25 yds also, don't know where those rd went either.

Congrats on the very nice 1911. I own the smaller bobtail version of that gun and love it.

Thx, I found mine on GunsAmerica. I also found one $50 cheaper on KYGun, week after my purchase. I like everything about the gun except field stripping. What a PIA compared to Sig P series.

You maybe need some lessons as you said... Maybe, I am not sure. I just love the way you nonchalantly said you were not sure where the other rounds went. It is very refreshing to say the least.

Shoot it some more trying to have as consistent a trigger pull as possible. Then, assess if a short trigger might help you. Your targets look like my targets when I started. Nice consistent grouping but a tad left of the bull.

For me, a short trigger fixed it. And now, I know how to adjust my shooting with a medium length trigger (like what your 1911 has) to hit center. I still prefer short triggers though.

                        Enjoy and stay safe!

Looks like you need to sell it. I know a buyer.

Congrats on your new 1911. Sweet gun. Curious about the left silhouette target in the first photo though.
Have there been reports of armed acrobats terrorizing your neighborhood?
