For those with experience in owning and shooting both 1911s, which one would you prefer? The Wilson Combat TE or the railed PRO? Aftet some research, I also found out that the PRO has a few mim parts.

Looks like you already own a TE. I also have a TE and love shooting it, as it is a much softer shooting and follow up shots are quicker because of the flanged barrel. I have 2 railed WC CQB 1911's both with Surefire X300U on them. The TE is my favorite out of the 3 WC I own. WC is top quality.

I have also shot the railed Pro. If you are going to hang something on it like a Surefire X300 the recoil is similar to the TE, but more nose heavy with the light on it, in my opinion. The Pro without something on the rail has a sharper recoil compared to the TE flanged barrel, but is a beautiful 1911 none the less. Don't sweat the MIM parts, you can always have them swapped out if it really bothers you. Another top quality 1911 in my opinion. After my WC Supergrade comes in, my next 1911 will be a non railed Pro with the Nowlin barrel.

It breaks down to this...What will you be doing with the 1911? Are you shooting competition? HD? Going to mount something on the rail?

Professional Light Rail

Can't go wrong with either pistol, but I'm obviously partial to the Professional.
