Sorry bro the glock 42 isn't on the safe handgun roster so we can't talk about it.

          I have one.

It shoots great as long as I don't touch the slide.

I love the the trigger I had heard it was heavy but it's easy to shoot with minimal muzzle movement and tight groups are the result.

I have one of the early ones so I'm following the revisions Glock has been making I'd like to send it in and have it updated.

          Anything else???

Put a bunch of rounds through mine today. I hate .380, but other than that, I like it a lot. Accurate, almost no recoil, shot all the crappy cheapest ammo I could find, and fits where my G27 won't.

Had a 9mm Shield but sold it and got the G42.

G42 shot great and felt good in my hands.

However, I recently sold the G42 and picked up another non-CA 9mm Shield and going back to that.

Since AB1964 was just signed, I may pick up another G42 before the end of the year just to have.

No recall, if there was no issue, no need and if you have problems, send it in. Mine has had feeding issues, pretty much ammo dependent, it likes AE, Remington, Freedom Munition reloads and didn't like Fiocchi, one failure every 20 rnds. Hornaday Critical Defense, one failure to feed in 24 rnds. I have a couple more brands to run but know I have a couple of options that are reliable.
Here is a run down of the parts revisions, mine has all of these, except the new magazines.
It appears Glock has quietly modified several internal parts on the new G42’s rolling off the line. This may be to address feeding/ammo issues that have been

I don't have one because I typically won't buy unless I can shoot something first, which means for this one most likely, knowing someone who owns one since they are SSE. I've owned .380s and don't mind them, but I've sort of standardized on 9mm for most personal and home defense so I can buy a greater quantity of that caliber.

I don't own one but I would suggest you check out the prices for 9 millimeter vs 380.
the prices whether on sale , internet, gun store, range ammo for home defense high end stuff....

you get more bang for your buck with the 9.
(if you can find something that you like the size of and can shoot well.)

some people complain abou the "huge" stopping power difference I don't think that's so big, especially with modern hi-tech ammo, but if you can't afford to shoot a gun a lot, training, I do think that is a major factor.

The price of .380 isn't an issue for me... I have other calibers I can shoot. I didn't buy it because I want to shoot 300 rounds a week through it.

I bought it because it is small and lite and it is very very accurate and easy to shoot for a small gun.

I just picked one up a week ago. I came across a great deal at a LGS 3 weeks that I could not pass up. They were on sale and no SSE fee. I was not sure and I am the type that wants to shoot at least 2 or 3,000 rounds before I decide. I figured that I could easily resell this next year for little to no loss if the SSE is lost (which it turned out to be).

My first impression is I like it. It fit my hand well. It might work for deep concealment, a back up, or carry when I am wearing summer clothes. My only other handgun is a G26. I like it. I will be buying one a month until the end of the year.

With the Glock Store mag extension, I can get 1 extra round. I have a feeling in a few months, there will be a few other mag extensions out there so I can run 10 rounds.

I do have some legal 12 round mags for my G26. I plan to replace the G19 I gave my son with a gen 4 G19. I have a few legal normal cap mags for that as well. These might be my 3 for CCW. I have only had experience with Glocks, but I intend to add a few non-Glocks to the stable just for variety.

I will not shoot a lot of .380, so I might keep it even if it does not get added to my CCW group. So far though, it fits well and shoots well for me. It will take something impressive in that small a package for me to replace it. It has a niche. I do think Glock would have done better making a single stack 9 mm though.
Anyone can look around and see the damage to the state and country inflicted by bad politicians.

A vote is clearly much more dangerous than a gun.

Why advocate restrictions on one right (voting) without comparable restrictions on another (self defense) (or, why not say 'Be a U.S. citizen' as the requirement for CCW)?

I love my wife's Glock 42 so much that I just purchased one for myself a few days ago. The early production units had some issues with feeding rounds and having the slide lock back prematurely.

They have made slight changes that solved the issues. I put around 200 rounds through my wife's G42 two weeks ago and had a great time.

I recommend purchasing Hornady Critical Defense rounds for your SD/HD use. Also recommend purchasing MagGuts magazine upgrade to bump capacity up to 7+1 instead of 6+1.
