I wish they'd do that for the G20. One of my favorite guns.

Ummm..... they do. It's called the G20SF.

The "SF" is tough to tell by sight from a non SF, but makes a HUGE difference in how the gun feels in your hand.

I just went through this when I bought my G20 (same frame as the 21). Do I get the standard or SF frame? Ended up being a pretty good dilemma. Problem for me was the 20sf actually felt better in my hand, but the standard frame ended up being the same point of aim as my G19, and the sf frame actually pointed a tad bit lower. I was able to find a place that had the standard and SF and I held them side by side. The SF actually shaves more off the bottom rear of the frame than the top rear, changing the point of aim. I also liked the position my trigger finger took with the standard frame, wasn't so crunched up. I also envision the G20 having better recoil handling characteristics than the SF version simply because there's more torque control with a slightly wider grip. All in all, I'm happy I went with the standard frame. Here's a graphic I made (found two side shots of the G20 and G20sf and simply overlapped them. The red shows the standard extension to the back of the frame from the side) to help my decision, hope it helps:

This is a very useful thread; thanks to everyone that posted comparison pics! I love my G21 but the grip circumference was always a bit on the large size for me. I can shoot it well but when shooting very fast, it feels like I don't have 100% control over it. I even removed the moulded checkering from the front and back straps and inlaid non-slip material but it still needs improvement. I think the G21SF is on the procurement list now.
