Thoughts on Base 1911 for Full Customization

Just thought I would give a quick update. I was finally able to decide and secure my base gun. It is a stainless Series 70 Colt reproduction.

Just buy a Wilson Combat product as it will work. Reading the posts makes the Wilson the best idea.

Thanks for the update. For Christmas 1990 I wanted the perfect handgun and I used a Colt Gold Cup as the base. One thing I wanted was the ability to make a headshot at 50 yards. Anyways after 24 years that is still my favorite pistol. Enjoy
