I took my NN CCO out for its maiden voyage today and it performed flawlessly. I did do a field strip cleaning and lube prior to going and greased the rails well with TW25b to make sure I broke it in properly.
After about 140rds I had my first and only fail to feed, I simply wiped the feed ramp and the remaining 110 rounds went without incident. Overall it produced tight groups but it took me a few rounds to get used to the gold bead sight (my first). Once I did, I tightened the groups up to about 1" at 21 feet.
Alex and co. really produce beautiful and top notch 1911's. I cant imagine what more one could ask for as far as the precision fit, aesthetics and function. I especially like the hand beveled lower slide edge that Alex Zimmerman did as a prototype on this, I think it really brings the lines all together.
