I'll hold out hope that they offer the same size in 9mm.

The LCP and an extra mag is still very easy to carry with minimal clothing.

It's not my first choice for CCW, but it's better than not having a gun if you might need it.

Maybe if I lived in a area where a CCW is available, I would be able to relate better. I see some pretty small 9mm handguns. Well, I will just take your word for it.

bodyguard .380 is on my permit as well as an xds .45..

they both have their place in the wardrobe line-up.. like they say, something is always better than nothing..

there's some size comparison drawings around the webs but in case ya'll don't know how much smaller the bodyguard [and LCP] really are..

          here ya go..

          xds .45 / shield .40 / bodyguard .380

G42 is the same size as an LC380.
The LC380 holds more rounds and is less money than the $600 sse'd G42.

If you really want a small, accurate, quality built, expensive, .380, you have to look at the Kahr P380. Some of the earlier models had problems, but my new one is great.
The Ruger LCP is not on the Ca DOJ handgun list. It does seem to be a very popular pistol for the price, just not in KA. And the sse bill is on the govenor' desk now.

Yeah, if not for CCW there would be no reason for me to have an LCP or the P238.

I'm planning to sell it for even money still in the shopping bag it came home in and it's now off the roster..
LC380 was $379 at Turner's.. more than the Shield and Bodyguard

380 is an awesome price. I don't have one but really liked the one i shot...very accurate and easy to control for the size

380 is even smaller. Pocket carry or even a back up. 9mm can only get so small. I would not however buy a 380 that was the size of a small 9mm. IE PM9 or LC9.

The problem for me is the very small number of pocket pistols still on roster and I'm in Ventura county. No SSE for CCW.

                                "..that's what she said."

Is it supposed to matter what she said?
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!
