    ughhhh glock 19/17 indecision!

Ive spent the last two hours fondling these gen4 pistols and am just beating myself up so bad!

    G17-
    Longer radius/barrel
Fingers align more naturally in grooves
There's a place for my pinky to go
Maybe slightly faster on target when practicing quick draws because of the sight radius

    G19-
Just more concealable and "carryable" in general

The advantages for the g17, though numerous, are slight. I do feel like I would be a tad more accurate with it, so is it worth giving up the overall good bigness for better concealability? I dont have a ccw (although id like one in the future), although im not sure either of them would be my first choice for ccw.

Arghhhhhhhhh! I need to make a decision! I like small things, that's why I run my stocks collapsed on ak's and stuff... and the 19 is definitely a bit smaller, but if bolstering/storing/etc was never a concern I would go for the 17 which, with the longer grip, fits my hand a little bit better.

I wish I could tell if the 17 would really be more accurate, as I am suspecting. This is tough, I need to place the Order in the next hour...

If it fits your hand better, get the 17. I shoot better with things that feel comfortable with. You can always get a g19/26 later for CCW, although maybe not a gen 4.

The 19 has very nice design/aesthetics.... but man oh man its a tough call!!!!!!!!!! Someome come on here and tell me that the 17 is more accurate than the 19???

I love me some hickok45, and he doesn't even mess around with the full size models at all... he's all about the 19/23, and I wish I could shoot like him (duh)... but omg this is hard... I mean the 17 is closer to the 34 which is the most accurate right? Damn damn damn lol

To make matters worse I got to try out the sig 2022 which is unreal for thr money, but it's on the roster so less urgent. That sig trigger is insanity.

What do you own now? If you dont have a full size 9mm now, get the 17

Get the 17 now, then 19 later. You can't have one without the other, it's inevitable. That's what I did in that order, but both in Gen 3.

I bought a G19 gen 2 in the early 90's; it concealed well; I didn't care for how dainty it looked in a belt holster. I also didn't like how my pinky "dropped off" the grip. I sold it and got a G17 gen 3 which feels like it was custom made for my hand (after installing a Houge slip on grip).

I plan on buying a G26 gen 3 for whenever we can obtain LTC. Not a real comfy grip for me; but, should conceal very well and still use my G17 mags.

                Of course, YMMV.

Glock 17 all day, everyday. The 19 also has a tad bit more recoil.

I don't think you can go wrong either way. I prefer "compacts" so when I go, I'll go 19.

IMHO, It is a personal decision based on how the guns fit you, and you said the 17 fits better. I think you should get the 17.

If you want something to conceal, get a 26 or a single stack.

Love my 17/34 sized Glocks. G19 just never feels right in my hand.
