    Sell CZ's or wait....

I'm looking to get into a 1911 for range and carry. I have a SP-01 I was going to have work done to and a P-01 that I'm not a fan of. I have a SAO SP-01 already and a few other worked over cz's and want something different. If I didn't have another cz I wouldn't sell but I've had enough cz projects for now. So I'm at a crossroads do I sell one or two great handguns to fund getting another or keep saving and hope to get what I want before the sse window closes?

More importantly I'm looking for range and carry so I want something I can depend on. I have shot a few 1911's from a RIA compact and full sized to my grandfather's colt gold cup. So yeah trigger and function first looks second. From looking around calguns and the net I'm looking at the Sig, the Ruger,Springfield, and Kimber. Which do you think would be the way to go?

Thanks for addressing the age old calgun question ......yet again.

If you really want a 1911 and can afford to let go of one or more of your CZ's without regretting it, then by all means go for it. Life is too short to compromise and not get sonething you want that you can afford anyways.

    Good luck!

All the brands you mentioned are strong contenders.

I posted in another thread about what to look for when shopping for a 1911.

I say shop the upgrades against your budget, and when you find the upgrades in your budget of the brands you mentioned, then pounce.

My personal choice would be a Les Baer Custom Carry, and I'd hold out for a used one.

Since you have more than one CZ, get rid of one to get a 1911s since it is a different type of pistol. But as previously mentioned, only if you can sell without regrets. It is painful to go through the regret stage. Lol
