CZ 75B or SA

I'm trying to figure out if there is any reason I shouldn't go with the SAO model. The primary use will be target/sport shooting. Seems like the need for DA comes in when it is going to be a carry weapon?

While out of the box there seems to be some mixed reviews of the trigger on both I have a feeling a modified SAO is going to be better than a modified DA?

Put a deposit down for the SAO, think I made the right choice, just looking for others input. Also trying to justify using one of my last remaining SSE opportunities for a gun that is still on the roster, although anyone's guess if it will be renewed on 12/31.

Bases on your use, i think sa is the way to go. When they first came out, i read all the great reviews but couldn't find one.

The thing I don't like about CZ DAs with a safety is that you have to decock the hammer manually. The decocker models obviously put it in half cock for you. Seems like a safety issue to me. People will say, well just do it safely and you'll be ok, but I believe in Murphy's Law.

Anyway, as sa champion said, SA is the way to go for what you want. My CZs are strictly range guns, so I've had both SP-01 and 97B converted to SAO. No point of DA at all for me.

75 SA gets you the longer beaver tail and the extended ambi safety right out of the box. That's a huge bonus if simply because you won't need to add them later.

Go with the SAO. Better trigger and upswept beavertail are definitely worth it.

I chose a 75B SA for the exact uses you describe. Range only sporting pistol. I think you made the right choice. Some even say it's a better sporting gun out of the box then the sp-01 and I would agree. The SA still needs some trigger work and a new hammer and springs to be it's best. That is next on my list.

I may add a Shadow SA to the stable, a perfectly setup range gun and competition gun. Unswept beavertail. Comes with fiber optic front sight and fixed black rear serrated target sight. Already has a comp hammer with shorter sear engagement hammer hooks for a clean short break and no need to fit the pad on the safety. It has the wider Shadow safeties, perfect for thumb rest. No fpb and lifter in the fcg so it will give you the shortest reset. I would just replace the trigger with a CZ straight trigger and add an extended slide release and mag release.

Couldn't find a 75 SAO so I converted my SP-01. I had no need for D/A on a decocker-less pistol.
