    RIA 1911 CS trigger

Hey everyone so I just unjailed my RIA 1911 CS Tuesday after work. Trigger has alot of movement and I've been reading around as well as on the 1911 forums. Does anyone know of an aftermarket trigger where I actually have to fit to the frame? All the triggers I'm reading reviews on are saying they drop in even though they're oversized.

Here is a good read on fitting a 1911 trigger.

Well I know how to fit the trigger. I've just read all the aftermarket triggers are simply drop in for the RIA. I'm wondering if there is a trigger out there that's over over sized for the RIA so I can fit it to my frame.

Well that is what Armscor is known for, loose fitting parts, but works.
The frame to slide fit and barrel fit are great considering the price.

Add material to the back of the trigger track and refit will give you less lateral movement.

10-8, Caspian, Infinity all dropped in on my frames. The infinity wiggled the least, followed by the Caspian and the 10-8 had the most movement.

Maybe try Ed Brown or Wilson (I have never tried those), that says match fit or something, hopefully you find one you like.

Semi drop in but you will still need some fitting of the trigger if you buy an aftermarket trigger.

I've had two RIA's in the past and both times found that C&S and Greider triggers dropped in without any fitting. With that said, I recall them fitting pretty well with no appreciable slop.

I have the RIA CS as well and installed a Wilson trigger. Dropped in, but limited movement and the trigger is lovely now. I recommend the Wilson trigger.

SVI triggers have to be fit.
