Ruger Single Six - .32-20 cal?

I have an old Colt Army Special .32-20 but I'd like a newer, more modern gun in the same caliber. Ruger made a "Buckeye Special" .32 H&R Magnum/.32-20 convertible some time ago, but they rarely come on the market. I was wondering if I bought a new Ruger Single Six if I could have it re-barreled and the cylinder re-bored to .32-20. I don't know what the relative frame sizes of the Buckeye and the Single Six are. Perhaps it would be better to start with a .357 Blackhawk frame. Any thoughts?

32-20 is too long for Single six. It would probably be better to get a 30 Carbine Blackhawk to build one on.

Also, dont forget the need to re-work the rim fire firing pin to to center fire. Sounds very expensive to me.

Single six came from the factory in a 32 mag if that would work for your needs. Otherwise I'd search for the Buckeye. I had the one in 38-40/10mm.

Any single action is okay to buy in another state and transfer in. Just get one off of GB.

I bought the Buckeye 32-20, 32 H&R Mag when they came out. Sold it 5 years ago for $725 on GB.
It was a Blackhawk frame. Nice gun, I never fired it.
