I have an old Colt Army Special .32-20 but I'd like a newer, more modern gun in the same caliber. Ruger made a "Buckeye Special" .32 H&R Magnum/.32-20 convertible some time ago, but they rarely come on the market. I was wondering if I bought a new Ruger Single Six if I could have it re-barreled and the cylinder re-bored to .32-20. I don't know what the relative frame sizes of the Buckeye and the Single Six are. Perhaps it would be better to start with a .357 Blackhawk frame. Any thoughts?

Any single action is okay to buy in another state and transfer in. Just get one off of GB.Comment

I bought the Buckeye 32-20, 32 H&R Mag when they came out. Sold it 5 years ago for $725 on GB.
It was a Blackhawk frame. Nice gun, I never fired it."The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not."
