    S&W 500 falling off roster?

I just received an e-mail from Turners stating that we only until 6/30 to get a S&W 500 until it falls off the roster. This seems odd to me, seeing as how two models of the S&W 500 were renewed on the roster as recently as last week. I also know that the microstamping requirements do not apply to revolvers. Does anyone have better information to know if this is true or just FUD to drive sales?

The 8.37" barrel is falling off this month, all the other models are still good.

Was there an announcement of some sort that it won't be renewed?

If you are really in the market, I'd suggest you call S&W directly and find out if they are going to renew the specific model you are interested in.
Truth be told, Turners is advertising to get rid of the guns that have expiration dates coming up soon so they won't be "possibly" stuck with them in Cal. Maybe Turners called S&W though doubtful. If S&W renews, the ad will disappear.
Unless you hear it from the horses mouth, you don't really know if it will be renewed.
Look at the roster. Pick a revolver that is going to expire soon. Write down the exact model number. Check the roster again a week or so after the revolver "expired" and you may see the exact revolver with another extension.

It will probably go down like it did for other s&w revolvers that fell off the list earlier this year. Revolver falls of list, stays off for awhile and then gets added back to the list (same exact gun) with an "A" at the end of its SKU.

            Yay...

I did this with the 686 and it turns out they were renewed.

Ah, yes, I remember that now. That could be it.

I've noticed Turners making good on this roster jargon to make good on roster panic rush to "buy the guns before they are gone forever!" in their recent ads to help boost sales and get guns off the shelves quick.
