    Ammo Bros. - Cerritos

Just wanted to give a thumbs up to Ammo Bros. in Cerritos. I was visiting the area and finally decided to stop in after driving past it on many SoCal trips.

I didn't buy anything and was kind of in a hurry ( was hoping to get lucky and score some 22 lr, but alas no dice) but just wanted to say a few things I noticed about the place:

    1) Friendly and helpful staff.

    2) Great prices on the few guns that I did manage to look at. They had a Kimber SS Raptor II that was going for $1400, that's a few hundred cheaper than what I've seen them go for up here! Why is everything in SoCal always cheaper?

    3) Ammo prices seemed to be pretty fair.

    4) Had just about anything and everything you could want or need to go shooting, cleaning, reloading, storage, etc.

I can see myself spending some moolah in there on my next trip.

If you have another chance then you definitely need to go visit RifleGear, but then you might say "How come everything Ammo Bros is selling are so expensive

You say friendly helpful staff. Did one of then appear on the customer side of the counter to help you, or did you have to wait in line for help and they did it from behind the counter?

Don't get me wrong, I like the stores. I have never seen any employee walking the sales floor.

Bought Trijicon night sights from them for my XD9 with free installation while I waited. Fair price, great job, good service. Ammo prices are mostly competitive but not as discounted as they used to be. Maybe Wal-Mart prices have jaded me now?

I like ammo bros, if riflegear is cheaper it sounds like they've earned another customer.

Bad experience at Ammo Bros of Cerritos this past weekend. I've have been looking to upgrade the hand guards on my LE6920. I decided to go with the DD Omega 7.0 model because it is a drop in upgrade. I went to Ammo bros on Sunday with the full intent to purchase the quad rail. The person that was helping me told me that this was not a drop in upgrade. He told me they would have to do some modifications to my rifle the would be $55. I told him that I did some research and that everything I read online said this was a simple drop in upgrade. He told me that I could try to install myself but I would most likely damage either the rail or my rifle. I decided not to purchase the rail. I came home and Googled on how to install the quad rail. I couldn't believe that guy lied to me just to try to get an extra $55 out of me. I've been shopping here for over a year but this last experience has put a sour taste in my mouth. Not sure if I'll be coming back.

I like them all, every gun shop has there pro's & con's... my favorites are Riflegear, OC firearms, Turners, & Ammo Bros in that order.

I've had hit and miss there. I've purchased accessories, as well as ammo, and firearms. I did a transfer there and I won't do another one.

I haven't been there in a year or so but it's alright.

The place is a little pricy. It's cheaper to buy online.

I always go there and for the staff that has helped me have always done so in a professional manner. The only thing is I'll always remember how the company gouged prices after Sandy hook. That doesn't mean I wouldn't buy anything now but I definitely wouldn't buy anything then.
