    California premium?

I'm looking at the Turner's weekly ad in my area and they have a Dan Wesson *on sale* for 1500.00. http://www.turners.com/info/weekly-ad
Then you look at the CZ website and the MSRP is 1079.00
Are we paying a CA premium due to the roster or what?

1911 in question is the Dan Wesson Pointman 7 .45ACP 5" Barrel

The answer should be obvious. Find yourself a kitchen-table ffl and proceed accordingly.

    It's a great weapon.

the price you were looking at is from 2005.

mrsp is really about 1500-1600 on those and that is the going rate now. It has changed over the years but still an amazing gun and value

In 2009, the Pointman 7 was listed for $1400. They don't offer this model in their catalog this year, but the 9mm version of the same handgun is listed for $1558. The $1079 price is from 2005.

Thank you much! I thought this was some kind of upcharge for us CA roster limited folks.

Nope! Not a bad price for this in 2014. Very nice 1911.

Yeah it's sad we're paying MSRP instead of regular street price that is about 10-15% off MSRP.
