Sig brace on a Glock?

Has anyone tried a Sig brace on a glock?


Seems like an easier way to stabilize the extra weight of a setup like this with one hand...


One handed reloads would also be easier without a bullet button.
I mean....you would need a sling, at least.

with a pistol buffer tube and SB15 brace, i think it would still be a pistol.

are there laws against pistols having thumbhole stocks? that might be an argument.

Uspsa open gun shooters seem to reload heavy guns with optics and huge compensators just fine.

Now, if i had a G18 and some 30 caliber magazine clips... maybe that would be useful.

The Sig brace is not classified as a stock by the BATFE, even when it's obviously being used as one. As for the legal interaction of using a stock adaptor with it, who the hell knows.

Personally, I'd stay away from it, regardless of it's legality. Local LE may not be as up to date on the nuances of this issue as we are and even if it all works out in the end, having your firearm confiscated and taking a ride in the back of the squad car to the pokey is NOT how I'd choose to end my day at the range.

Why not just mill the slide and put a RMR or similar if you want to not have a heavy beast of a gun.

Also just because its not a stock according to the BATFE doesn't mean CA DOJ won't either.

I mean the point of a handgun is a backup weapon that is easy to conceal.

No, not really, the brace isn't a stock. People seem to be afraid of what the CA DOJ will say, but the point is, they don't say. They haven't even approved the bullet button either. If you use a raddlock bullet button especially, with a few turns of the screw it will become a regular mag release, but there is nothing from the DOJ saying it's ok. At least nothing in writing. This is the same type of fear that people had with off list lowers when they came into being in California. Some people I'm sure were arrested. However, it the end we now have them available to us. And probably, the CA DOJ still hasn't put anything in writing on those either.

The sig brace, used as it is intended, is very uncomfortable though. It's a very rigid plastic. I thought it was more of a softer foam, but it's not. Maybe with a glock it wouldn't feel as uncomfortable. With an ar pistol, it feels like it cuts into the skin if you're not wearing a long sleeve shirt.
