    Taurus snub nose .38 question

someone is hooking me up with 100 rounds of +p .38 special rounds. Is it safe for me to use +p .38 rounds in my Taurus .38 snub nose for self defense? If it helps, I have the the 5 shot black snub nose Taurus.
Half the people on the Internet say "for self defense it's ok just don't shoot targets all day with it" and the other half say "no don't even try it your gun will crack/loosen/blow up"

Check the specific model with Taurus. You can't rely on us for this. It's "black" isn't enough to go on!

I've shot 5 rds of +p out of my s&w 442 that isn't +p rated, just to get a feel for it incase I ever need to use it. I've heard the same thing as you have. I took the risk, and she is still in working order

Depends on the model. Do you know it?

          Is this the model 85?

I would practice with Normal .38.

I would not run a bunch of plus + P thru it. Try a few rounds only.

You really don't need plus P for self defense.
