    Dummy pistol with realistic trigger?

Is there such a thing as a dummy pistol with a realistic trigger for practicing?

I cannot use any kind of real pistol of this purpose, for legal reasons.

Some kind of airsoft pistol with proper weight and a realistic trigger would be awesome. It could be blue for all I care. In fact, I would prefer that, and would probably spray paint it otherwise.

I mainly want to build basic muscle memory. I am a terrible shot. I'm lucky if I get in 1000 rounds a year, and they are almost a waste

Closest I've seen is a dry firing trigger pack for handguns. This would be a good idea though.

I've been thinking about trying air soft but haven't gotten around to it. I believe they are usually lighter than the real thing but are dimensionally accurate. Worth a shot!

LaserLyte makes a training gun to be used with their other products.

+1 on SIRT. If you're looking for a realistic training gun, you've found it.
We in Bangor, Maine now baby.

Doesn't the SIRT still use a Glock lower though?? Sounds like this guy might not be able to own guns any more?

SIRT looks awesome, but $440 is a bit much. Granted, not a whole lot more than 1k rounds of ammo. (EDIT: $440 is for the pro model with better weight)

The laserlyte fits the budget better, and also is more obviously fake.

I used to have a KSC gas blow-back airsoft Glock 19 (well still do, but it's not in this country) and the trigger is pretty realistic comparable to real Glocks. Might just have to find a slightly heavier trigger spring as the weight of the pull is probably a good 2 pounds lighter than the real deal.

On a side note, move off campus

My rent would double, my accomodations would be worse, and I would have to commute

Otherwise, I would do it in a heartbeat.

Doesn't Glock make a dummy pistol that has a trigger that can reset on it's own without needing to cock the pistol?

Yep, found it. Not sure if it is sold to civilians though - or how much it costs.
