How much should a LNIB gen 3 od green glock 17 cost on a ppt?

it depends on who's buying, who's selling and if the twain shall meet. someone here may be able to give you a solid number, but over an extended period of time i've seen varying prices that are all over the road.

I've seen only a couple around going anywhere from $550 to $700 so I'm just curious. Why so much more than a normal black frame?

They are a bit harder to find.

In today's market, I'd say $600 is about right.

There was a thread a few weeks ago posted that they were in stock for around $550 nib.

As far as ppt, they're worth more to sellers than to buyers. Sellers think because they were discontinued that they should be worth substantially more than a black frame, but glock discontinued them cause they just didn't sell enough to keep in production (because they're ugly!). Personally, I wouldn't pay more than $550 minus what it would cost to paint it black

As a data point for you. I just bought one (NIB) from City Arms in Pacifica, I believe they still have another for $650. I knew it was steeper but I wanted it specific for a project of mine. They also have a G19 as well.

Unless it's a Gen 4, I wouldn't pay more than $500 for a used one.

New, they were $499 just a couple of weeks ago with a few local retailers.

in the collectors circle, the Gen 1 G19 is considered to be perhaps the most desirable Glock ever made. very little is actually known about the history and background information of this variant of the G19, and it was never a regular production gun. it is believed that perhaps 12-24 (or a few more) examples of the Gen 1 G19 were imported to the US in 1988, possibly for testing by the ATF. it is also said that these examples ultimately wound up with the Kansas State Alcoholic Beverage Control as an issue handgun.

the Gen 1 G19 was only known to be made in 1988, and in that same year the Gen 2 G19 came into the mix. no more Gen 1 G19s are known to have been manufactured after the first small group of examples was delivered to the US.
