I love the look of the wood grips, but the factory aluminum grips feel the best. I'm personally not a fan of the E2 grips, but those with smaller hands might find them to be the most comfortable.

The P226 Crimson Trace grips I have are a little rubbery in feel which I don't like, however they do function flawlessly. It's just personal preference but I don't like rubbery feeling grips period. Those cheap rubber Hogue grips that some people like are the worst (my opinion).

If you're looking for a great feeling grip, go with the factory aluminum - they look great as well. If an lgs near you has the Elite Dark in stock, you can check out how they feel.

Awesome, I think I'll check out the E2 grips because my wife doesn't like the P226 because the grip is too big for her. If she still doesn't like it, I'm going to get a wood grip since they look so classy

FIRSTGUN, thanks for the pics, those really help!

We tried out the E2 grips and while I liked it, it was still too big for my wife, so wood grips it is! I like the contrast and class a bit of wood brings to the table. Those aluminum grips look really sweet though.

Ian, the E2 grips do feel a slight bit smaller, but they also contour to your hand, which feels nice.

Give 'em a shot! Certainly easy to resell if you find you don't completely love them.

I used to buy wood grips for all of my guns, but they show cosmetic wear and damage really easily. If you get oil or any other liquid underneath the panel it can soften, rot, or crack the wood (yes, it has happened to me). I now have multiple Hogue G10 and aluminum grips, they look and feel great!

Tip: if you don't like/get tired of the aluminum grip color, send them in to be Cerakoted.

Wow, she must have tiny hands. I have medium hands and the e2 grips on my p226 seem tiny compared to my gen 3 g19. Not to mention the e2 grips ergos make the g19 feel like holding a brick. Very comfy. I love those rosewood grips, but I'm worried my medium hand is too small.

I have medium to large size hand so the E2 grips get lost in my hand. Stock grips are perfect for my hand but I can also handle Rosegrips. The reason why I put two on my Sigs.

If you have P220, it'll be okay to put the rosegrips on because they are single stack so the grip is not bulky. It will be like handling stock grips.

I didn't think I would like the Sig AL grips and had planned on changing them out as soon as I got the gun. To my surprise I really like them! I have a small hand too.

Equinox grips? I have smaller hands but have no problem with the wider wood so I'd say personal preference.

Her hands aren't too small but she didn't feel like she was in control of the gun. She wanted to get her hand around the grip more. We ended up getting her a XD9 Tactical. I was really impressed with the gun, too!
