    Normal Mag Wear?

Is this normal wear on my Glock magazines? I'm not freaking out about it, I don't baby my guns, but I just noticed this for the first time.

(Also, I load my mags correctly, I don't point the casing down into the plastic like it looks like the indentation is from)

Yep. Tried to get the light right where the indents are.

That dent on the follower? Looks normal according to magazines I have for other guns. Just the lip of the case rim digging in a bit when the slide strips that last round.

I don't know if that is normal for Glocks but my P229 are nowhere near that even after couple of thousands rounds.

All my glock mags are like that .. some worse. Probably an average of 2000 rnds through each.

No problems with any of them.

OP, your mags look brand new to me. These have over 40K thru them. And going to see alot more now that I have taken up competitive shooting.

^Yep I've only had the gun 3 months, it's only been shot a handful of times. Good to know the wear is normal!

Yeah that wear is normal. OP did you buy the gun used? Those followers are very old. I have 2 of those followers and they function fine with FMJ but certain JHP will cause FTF. Give Glock a call and mention that the mags have been giving you failure to feed and they will mail you some new followers for free. I personally have followers that are marked 2183(old and may give problems with JHP), 9mm and also 9mm3. The ones they sent me are the 9mm3.

No I did not buy it used but it is a Gen 3. I always use FMJ ammo but maybe I will call them to have the followers as back ups just in case I have hangups. Like I said before the gun has only been shot a few times so I'm just surprised at the early signs of wear.

Wear on the followers look much like the wear on my older Glock mags. Nothing to worry about. Wear on the magazine release notch is something to watch for.

Call Glock and ask for the updated 9mm followers. They happily sent me 4 for my mags.

That is normal. You'll also see bending/damage around the bottom part of the magazine catch slot if you do tac-loads or speed reloads. Plastic isn't steel, it does deform more rapidly with use.
