FNX45 Taxtical

I recently bought a FNX45 Tactical that I just recently took possession of. I bought the gun out of state, had to have the seller send the threaded barrel to me at my house. The rest of the gun and mags were shipped to my FFL. My FFL shipped the mags to a friend of mine in CO, and they are being sold for me. It took two months to get through the SSE process, but it is finally over and I am having fun with the gun. I can't find any legal issues with me having the threaded barrel in my possession, I just don't ever install it into the gun unless in a legal state. Does this sound correct?

Yes this is correct, my understanding is the same as yours. You can legally own the barrel just don't ever install it in CA. Outside of CA feel free to do what you want.

A few questions on the way the SSE went down:

- Did you just buy a barrel from the standard FNX for your use in CA?
- If you sold off the 15 rounders in CO, what are you using now? Couldn't the FFL have just have pinned the 15 rounds to 10, or does FNH sell 10 rounders for the FNX.

I ask this because I like the idea of this pistol with an RMR but they only offer the milled slide with the tactical version.

I did install the rmr, loving it. Still need to zero it a bit more. On the barrel and mags, I have a standard FNX45 that I took the barrel out of and it came with 3 mags, so I am using of these mags. I ordered a new barrel from FN, but it wont't be to me for a few more months. I was told six months on the new barrel.

Yes, FN USA makes/sells factory 10 round magazines for the FNP45/FNX45.
