    Grip plugs for g20

Hello I have a g20 and it has a grip plug in it. I have heard stories about the frames cracking. Should I take mine out or just leave it in. It's a gen 3

Grip plugs seem like a bad way to waste $5.

That hole is for debris to fall out, I believe. And for a little more room to grab the mag out if there is a failure.

Leave it in. The frames could crack from the plug being forced in or from being removed. If it's in there leave it alone.

I'd remove. Had a frame on my g21 crack after a few months of a plug being in it.

I had one in one of my G20SF's for a couple of years. One day I was stripping the gun to clean it after shooting and I saw it was gone, never replaced it.

i just use a folded up piece of cloth. does a sufficient job of keeping stuff out while still letting the frame flex and big debris clear out.

edit - may be different with a 9mm glock since it has much less recoil etc.
