Trijicon are very good, better than Glock night sights. In reality after first shot in the dark, muzzle blast, will kill your night vision. Night sights pretty much become useless

Actually I would consider Todd Green a reputable source on this topic He is a great handgun instructor and has shown in class how those sights are no more faster than other quality sights at close distance yet make shooting beyond farther distances more difficult.
Can it be done? Sure. Competitors would use them if it gave them an advantage, same with Cops or Military who have more lethal force confrontations than the typical concealed carrier. I'd use them on a snubbie but that's it personally.

To Mossy Man, my favorite Glock sights are the Ameriglo CAP sights in orange which are fast up close yet do not suffer at distance. More info is here:

              Meprolights

Plus one for the Meprolights. I have them on all of my carry guns, including the two I used to carry while on duty as a Parole Agent. I wish they made them for the Les Baer 1911 I just bought. I don't know if they make them for Glocks though, but I bet they might. If not then Ameriglo are very similar.

Glock 27' using 10-8 "U" rear .156 and XS Big Dot front. Great flash sight picture and proven for years.

No problem there. All sights work, don't they? All I am saying is people shouldnt take any "expert's" word for it;they should try it for themselves and decide it they work for them. What many people don't get is that those sights are truly meant for a fighting gun and not precision work. Ultimately, if the old school WWII sights work best for someone, those are the sights they should be using.

That's a pretty closed minded approach if you don't think you can learn from someone that's reputable in this industry with more experience than most people here. I guess all sights "work" but some obviously do better than others depending on your goal, and labeling something tactical or for fighting doesn't necessarily make it so. Precision doesn't always happen in gunfights, but that doesn't mean that it shouldn't be your goal. Big deal of XS sights excel at close range, what other sights here do not? Prove that your "fighting" sights are better than mine. Do you only limit your shooting to 10 yards and less?

We can agree to disagree but let's not pretend you're an authority on what sights should only be used to "fight" with.

If people stopped marketing these sights as "the" fighting sights (you just don't understand it bro!) then it would be less annoying.

Pretending to be authority? Care to put some money on the line so we can see who is a better shot? I dont have any financial interest in any of the companies but can spot a nut rider from a mile away.

Well you keep bagging on a friend of mine who is also well respected in the community.

Ok, so you shooting the Big Dot vs. my sights that I have no vested interest in.
What distance? I'll be using a near stock 9mm G19 I carry everyday.
You search for nut riders huh? Are you with Pink Pistols?

Awesome call out! I'll get right on the plane to fly down for $500. Nice change in sights btw. Edit: I'm in Sacramento County.

Put up or shut up. Its really that simple. I dont need so called experts to tell me what sights to use. Not a change, Ive stated from the begining the XS are no comp sights. You question my ability and I am calling you on your bs. Its that simple.

If you dont accept the challenge, I have nothing to say to you and your ilk.
