    Python and .357 ammo

I normaly shoot my python with 158gr 357mag or 38spl. I bought a box of remington UMC 125gr 357 and decided to try that. I noticed that the 125gr remington was alot dirtier (the shells had alot of residue) than the American Eagle I shoot. Is this cause of ammo brand or does grain have anything to do with it? But I also shot a remington UMC 38spl 158gr ammo and that was fine also.

So can I conclude that the 125gr is bad to shoot in a python. With the 125 I also noticed that the shooting was snappier also.

Can also anyone help me choose the right grips for a python? I'm ready to replace the originals but can't decide between a Nill grips of Python Elite style grips. Which is more comfier to shoot with?

I found the same with the UMC. I don't shoot it anymore.

If you do replace the original stocks be sure to save them, the gun will always be worth more with them if you sell it. I have some of the Elite stocks on mine, they are very good; Pachmayr gripper grips also feel good to me.

Some of the best .357 mag ammo I have shot, is Fiocchi.
Great stuff, hot loads and does not make my revolver too filthy.
