Thanks to a little help from my Dad, I went to GunWorld in Burbank, and purchased my first 1911A1. The quality looks excellent, for a bargain basement pistol. I did not want a match pistol, but something that was a close to GI 1911A1 as possible for under $600. I originally wanted a Rock Island, but I learned through other calgunners that they are made in the same factory. And after looking at different forums, the High Standard got a good write-up. Anyways, thanks to all calgunners as always. USMCM16A2

I always liked the Highstandard 1911, My buddy has one and I love to shoot it, never heard a complaint from him about it either.
