I am thinking about getting this conversion kit for my Glock 22 so I can shoot 9mm shells. Has anybody out there used one of these, and how well does it work out for you?

Gen 3 Glock 22?
I don't have one for the Glock 22, but if it's as reliable as the one for a Glock 23, which I have, then I would say it's good. I haven't had to change anything on the actual gun and it is reliable, even the .40 S&W mags. But I also use 9mm mags since I have a Glock 17.
Overall, I am happy with it.
If Gen 4, you will also need to replace the recoil spring set up to a G17's to be reliable. I have one for my Gen 4 G35 and it runs fine. One Way to Post Pics ********** How to Submit an iTrader Rating That Counts ********** Brass for Sale

I've got one of those on my Gen 3 G22. It gave me feeding issues about 20% of the time with either reloads or factory ammo. After some research and asking around, I ended up buying a new guide rod and reduced power recoil spring (Wolff, 15lb.) and now it runs flawlessly with factory ammo. I did try using G17 mags before I tried changing out the guide rod and spring, but the issues didn't go away.
I like to think that Lone Wolf got tired of me bugging them and finally added this warning to their conversion barrel page.

I have the Storm Lake conversion barrel in my Gen 3 G22. It has run perfectly for hundreds of rounds (9mm). I just use it for target/fun shooting 9mm and stick to my factory G22 .40 barrel for self defense/carry. If I wanted to carry a 9mm for serious reasons, I would just buy a G17.Comment

Lone Wolf barrels are GTG.
I have two Lone Wolf barrels for my G23 one is the extended 9mm conversion barrel and the other is a ported barrel in the stock caliber to reduce recoil both have worked flawlessly with factory ammo the conversion barrel eats reloads no problem haven't tried the ported barrel with reloads yet but I like both over the factory barrel for sure!

Here's a thread I started on my own experience with a LW 40-9 conversion barrel: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=892270"Two dead?!? HOW?!?"

IGB AUSTRIA has excellent conversion barrels. IMO, the best aftermarket Glock drop in barrels.

I have one and it is great after tuning. My experience was that I had to add a 13 pound spring / steel guide rod. I swap it out with the barrel. No big deal since I already had a steel guide rod... I just bought a $7 spring to put on it.Comment
