Are slides of the same size/dimensions generally interchangeable? i.e. between the original 75b slides with the hi-power cuts and lighter front end vs say the SA model with a heavier front end (no hi-power cuts, area capturing recoil spring not machined down in the front). I am not comparing larger slides on the smaller frames such as the 97b slide on a 75b frame.

75B and SA and SP-01 slides all interchange. Can't comment on other models.
I ran my 75B slide on my SP-01 frame for a class, and also ran the SP-01 slide on the 75B frame a few days later.
I think I had heard that they had to be of the same variant (all manual safety or all decocker), but I have no firsthand on that since all mine have the safety. -
Hmmm... Very interesting. Didn't really think about it but will try it.
@Dattebayo, good point on the Kadet kit compatibility. One Way to Post Pics ********** How to Submit an iTrader Rating That Counts ********** Brass for Sale

My thinking as well - if they are all of the same general variant/action (safety/decocker/etc), hammer width (basically if the hammer can clear the frame), and are of the same general size (i.e. full size frame and full size slide, things should be fine assuming general things are taken care of such as recoil spring weights. The 75B .40 uses an old style frame with the wider SA style slide with full length rails, the Omega has the new style frame with the older style slide that has the hi-power cuts, and I recall some factory pistols having a non TS frame with the longer TS slides. However, I never saw (factory level) SP01 slides and frames being interchanged with non SP01 slides/frames despite magazine compatibility - although it seems like you did so with no problem.75B and SA and SP-01 slides all interchange. Figured it would be best to get feedback from others though given how CZ has a lot more small parts than most other modern service pistols - i.e. more things that may not work together or break/wear pre-maturely.
Also this, but I wondered if may have just been b/c 22lr doesn't induce nearly as much stress on anything and if the little stress it would induce would be on just the kadet parts.Last edited by penguinofsleep; 05-24-2014, 9:33 AM.Comment

I've heard the .40 slide will fit the 9mm B as well as long as they were both manual safety or decocker. I guess I didn't think about the wider hammers in some of the guns. But if you stick with the base models it should be fine. I am fairly certain the full size slide will fit on the compacts as well.Comment

My P-06 slide fit into the rails of the P-01 frame but something was hitting inside the frame that wouldn't allow it to slide back all the way. The P-01 slide fit into the P-06 frame but was a little looser. The TS slide had to be milled down on the lower half front to fit into the dust cover of my Shadow Target frame.Comment
