    .32 ammo with a .311 diameter?

Which brands of .32 ammo have a .311 diameter? It can be long, HR, or 32 acp. I'm setting up a .32 multicaliber....Mosin Nagant. Mosins have a bore of .311 and many of the .32 rounds are .312. I'm going to use this so I can shoot the rounds http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/cb.aspx?a=587989 In case your wondering, the reason I want to do this is most of the ranges close to me don't allow steel ammo and brass soft point 7.62x54 is expensive (can be found at Big 5 though.)

Bullets actually need to be a bit larger then the bore so the bullet engages the rifling in the barrel.
.312s will work fine in your .311 bore.

If you are using jacketed pistol bullets, don't even worry about it. If the bullets are under-sized, there is still enough to grab the rifling, and give the bullet some spin. I know plenty of people that reload .32 ACP with .308" bullets, and use them with chamber inserts in 7.62x54R and .303 British rifles. It isn't really a problem. Additionally, if the bullets are over-sized, they will still go through the bore of your mosin with no problem. The worst you will see is a slight increase in pressure. And an slight increase in a pistol cartridge pressure when you are using a Mosin is like a fly fart in a hurricane. Nobody's going to notice. I know many of the older .32 cartridges that primarily used lead bullets often have bullets that measure in the .312-.314" diameter. Things like .32-20 and .32 S&W/S&W Long. I also know people who use those same .32 caliber revolvers with .308" bullets, and have no problems. That 1-2 thousandths of an inch isn't all that critical in thins situation.
