Picked up my first Python at auction as well as some other goodies

    1976 6" Python

Some signs of holster wear but I was looking for a shooter and not a safe queen. Overall great condition, no scratches or dings.

    Colt California bicentennial gold plated

Looking for a fun revolver so this S&W 28-2 tickled my fancy

Also picked up these C&Rs but that's for the other forum

$1,500. I wasn't going to go that high but I told my wife to bid and once she raised the paddle it jumped $250

All nice... but first chance you get, you should take the doo-hickey thing-a-ma-bob off the front of that Frenchy. There are some other threads 'round these parts on how to make that easy.

(I have a pair myself - love these rifles - nice that you got a bayonet for yours, a rare find).

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

Some things go for more than they are worth and somethings no one bids on. Either way there is always something there worth picking up.

Last auction I got a FAL for $550 that needed $11 in parts to be functional.

Congrats on the Python . . . Enjoy!

I purchased mine in 1980. Take it out of the safe once in awhile for cleaning, but have not shot it in some 15 years.

Thanks. Locks up tight and I wanted something I could shoot and do some IDPA matches with.

The cheap stuff always goes way too high. Guys will pay stupid prices for Mosins, Mossberg Pumps, .25 cal autos, etc. The high end stuff often gets pulled because no one will bid a reasonable price.
Even though I do not buy, I am always entertained.
