Performance Center S&W 1911

Hello All, thinking of picking one of these up anybody have any info on them? I am looking at the commander sized one with the bobtail. I have read some reviews online. I have 2 other 1911s but they are in 38 super and I have 2 full sized 45s a Glock 21 and a West German 220. I probably only shoot every other month due to employment and familial obligations. Any thoughts on this particular 1911 would be appreciated.

You mean the one with the orange grips yes? Check out the 1911 forums, there are people there that have it and they enjoy them. You'll find it less likely someone here has it since it's off roster. There's a member here that got the full sized one a while ago though.

I got the full size one a couple months ago and want the commander size also. Definitely worth it as long as you have nothing against the external extractor?

I would definitely get it then, you might have to get the full size one next. I know I want the commander size one now.

I have two 5" PCs that i've been shooting in USPSA for a while. Good guns. I'd get a 3rd if i could find one. They don't pop up for sale new or used very often.

Uh, were you looking at the one at triple a's? I went in there on Tuesday to have them try and order me one and saw they had one in the case. I couldn't pass it up, so I bought it!
